Elastic High Performance Computing:Billing overview

Last Updated:Nov 10, 2025

E-HPC Instant is a pay-as-you-go service. You are charged for the resources you use and the runtime of your jobs. Billing is calculated on a per-second basis.

Billable items

E-HPC Instant service fees

When you run jobs using E-HPC Instant, you are charged for the vCPUs, memory, and compute storage that you specify. You are charged for usage on a per-second basis, and bills are generated hourly.

Elastic IP Address

When you create a job, if you select Single Node Elastic Public IP, the system creates an elastic IP address (EIP) for each node and attaches the EIP to the node. By default, the EIP is billed on a pay-by-traffic basis and the bandwidth is 200 Mbps.

EIP billing

File Storage NAS

When you create a job, if you select NAS as the external storage, you must pay for the NAS service.

File Storage NAS billing

Object Storage Service (OSS)

When you create a job, if you select OSS as the external storage, you must pay for the OSS service.

Object Storage Service billing

Container Registry (ACR)

When you create a job, if you set Compute Environment to Container and use an image repository of Container Registry (ACR), you must pay for the ACR service.

Minimum billable unit

When you use E-HPC Instant, the minimum billable unit is an execution node. A job consists of multiple tasks, and a task consists of one or more execution nodes. An example of an execution node ID is cn-heyuan;job-hz0n293k6g2hgjnjXXXX;main;0;0. The parts of the ID are separated by semicolons (;) and are described in the following table.

Parameter

Description

cn-heyuan

The region where the job and its execution nodes reside.

job-hz0n293k6g2hgjnjXXXX

The unique identifier of the job (job ID).

main

The task name.

0

The ordinal number of the task execution node. If the maximum number of concurrent tasks (MaxCount) is 100, the ordinal numbers range from 0 to 99.

0

A reserved field.

Important

The prices on the buy page and in your bills shall prevail.

For each task, you can customize the required resource specifications and quantity. By default, one execution node is used. Assume that a job requires 80 vCPUs, 80 GiB of memory, and 350 GiB of storage space, and runs for 10 hours. In this case, the total fee is calculated as follows:

Total fee = vCPU fee + Memory fee + Storage space fee = 7.218048 + 3.609024 + 0.552615 = 11.379687 USD

  • vCPU fee = Number of vCPUs × vCPU unit price × Billing duration = 80 × 0.00902256 × 10 = 7.218048 USD

  • Memory fee = Memory size × Memory unit price × Billing duration = 80 × 0.00451128 × 10 = 3.609024 USD

  • Storage space fee = Storage space size × Compute storage unit price × Billing duration = 350 × 0.00015789 × 10 = 0.552615 USD

Overdue payments

If your available account credit, which includes your account balance and coupons, is insufficient to cover your outstanding bill, your account will have an overdue payment. You will receive an insufficient balance notification by text message or email. For more information, see Overdue payments.

Important
  • Computing Retrying or Running jobs before the overdue are protected and continue to run for a maximum of one day. Therefore, overdue payments may accumulate.

  • If your account is overdue for more than one day, the E-HPC INSTANT computing service forcibly stops computing jobs, even they are Retrying or Running. They cannot be resumed.

Refund policy

Refunds are not supported for the pay-as-you-go E-HPC Instant service. You can stop a job in theconsole to stop incurring charges. For more information, see Stop a job.
