If the available credit in your account (including your account balance and coupons) is less than the amount of outstanding bills, your account will enter an overdue state. This topic describes the impact of overdue payments on the E-HPC INSTANT computing service, how to pay overdue bills, and how to prevent overdue.
Impact of overdue
You cannot use the E-HPC INSTANT computing service if your account has overdue payments. You cannot create new jobs.
Computing Retrying or Running jobs before the overdue are protected and continue to run for a maximum of one day. Therefore, overdue payments may accumulate.
If your account is overdue for more than one day, the E-HPC INSTANT computing service forcibly stops computing jobs, even they are Retrying or Running. They cannot be resumed.
Pay overdue bills
If your account has an overdue payment, you cannot use the E-HPC INSTANT computing service. Pay your overdue bills to prevent service interruptions.Log on to the Expenses and Costs console, click the Pay Now in the notification at the top of the Account Overview page. Then follow the on-screen instructions to pay the overdue bills.
After you pay the overdue bills, the E-HPC INSTANT computing service is automatically restored. However, stopped jobs are not automatically resumed, and you need to resubmit these jobs.
How to prevent service suspension due to overdue payments
Stop unnecessary jobs
If you no longer need a job, stop it to prevent further charges.
Set a low balance alert
Set an alert based on the available credit in your account. If available credit falls below the threshold, the system automatically sends you a notification. For more information, see Set a low balance alert.
