DataWorks:Data download

Last Updated:Nov 17, 2025

Data downloaded as CSV and XLSX files from Data Studio, DataAnalysis, or Security Center in DataWorks is synchronized to the Data Download page. You can use this feature to re-download files to your on-premises machine and trace the details of historical download operations.

Prerequisites

You have downloaded data from the following modules:

  • DataAnalysis > SQL Query: In DataAnalysis, you can use SQL statements to query data and download the results. For more information, see SQL query and analysis.

  • DataAnalysis > Spreadsheet: You can download data from a workbook in DataAnalysis. For more information, see Download a workbook.

  • Data Studio > Query And Download: In Data Studio, you can use SQL statements to query data and download the results. For more information, see DataStudio (legacy version) and Data Studio (new version).

    Note

Data Studio does not support exporting more than 10,000 rows of MaxCompute data. To export more than 10,000 rows of data, we recommend that you use SQL query and analysis in DataAnalysis or use Tunnel commands to download the data.

  • Security Center > Entity Transfer: You can download data from transfer logs in Security Center. For more information, see Change the owner of an entity.

Limitations

  • You can download data only from the following modules: DataAnalysis > SQL Query, DataAnalysis > Spreadsheet, Data Studio > Query And Download, and Security Center > Entity Transfer.

  • You can download only files that are in the Downloadable status.

Go to the Data Download page

  1. Go to the Upload and Download page.

Log on to the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select the desired region. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Integration > Data Upload and Download. On the page that appears, click Go to Data Upload and Download.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click the image icon to go to the Data Download page.

Download data

On the Data Download page, you can search for the data that you want to download by specifying filter conditions, such as file name, source module, creation date, and file status. Then, you can view and download the data.

Note
  • You can download data only from the following modules: DataAnalysis > SQL Query, DataAnalysis > Spreadsheet, Data Studio > Query And Download, and Security Center > Entity Transfer.

  • You can download only files that are in the Downloadable status.

imageFile status descriptions:

  • Download Rejected: The download operation is blocked by an extension. The extension is configured by an Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user with high-level permissions to handle the Pre-event For Data Download event.

  • Expired: Files are retained on the Data Download page for seven days. After seven days, the files expire and can no longer be downloaded.

  • Risk Detection In: Risk detection is in progress for the file. The file cannot be downloaded if the detection is incomplete or fails. By default, risk detection is disabled. The platform performs risk detection if an extension is configured by an Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user with high-level permissions to handle the Pre-event For Data Download event. You can handle risks based on the check results.

To manage or control sensitive data in specific workspaces, you can configure Fraud Detection rules to enable approval and risk control for file downloads.
