A project is the basic organizational unit in Dataphin, serving as the primary boundary for multi-tenant isolation and access control.

Permissions

Only a super administrator, a system administrator, or a custom global role with the Project Management-Edit permission can manage members in batches.

Overview

Dataphin supports two types of projects: general-purpose projects and label-specific projects.

General-purpose project: Used for creating and managing tasks such as data integration and data development. To organize data development by business domain, create a general-purpose project for efficient management and collaboration.
Label-specific project: Used for creating and managing data labels. To organize label development by business domain, create a label-specific project.

Accessing project management

On the Dataphin homepage, click Plan in the top menu bar.
On the Data Planning page, click Project Management in the left-side navigation pane to open the Project Management page.

Project Management page

The Project Management page consists of a filter area, a project card list, and a batch operations area. On this page, you can create projects and manage existing ones.

Parameter	Description
① Filter area	Filter: Filter projects by selecting Joined or All, or by entering project keywords. Click the icon to filter by data section and project type. Sort: Click the icon to sort projects by date added, name, or code name. Create project: Click + Create Project to create a new project. The creation process depends on the project type. For more information, see: Create a general-purpose project. Create a label-specific project.
② Project card list	The project cards display project information and let you perform management operations, such as binding a data section, configuring a project's computing source, configuring project information, and member management. For more information, see Create a general-purpose project, Create a label-specific project and Add project members. You can also click Enter Workspace to open the Develop workbench for the current project.
③ Batch operations	Manage members in batches: At the bottom of the project list, click Manage Members in Batches. You can choose to manage members or view batch operation records. For more information, see Manage project members in batches. Manage members in batches: Add or remove members for specified projects in bulk. Batch operation records: View the execution records of all batch operations. Enable batch deletion: Enables a mode where you can select and delete multiple projects. For more information, see Delete projects. Note You can only delete projects that do not contain any dependent objects.
