Dataphin provides a simple, fast, and efficient data analysis platform. You can use data analysis to gain insights into data in the data warehouse, perform online queries and visual analytics, extract effective information to form conclusions, and assist in decision-making.
Prerequisites
You need to activate the Intelligent Development Edition.
Introduction to the analysis platform
On the analysis platform, you can select a Dev or Basic project for which you have permissions to run SQL code. The analysis platform also supports attaching dedicated computing sources, allowing you to conveniently run SQL code to query data independently of project concepts. Before using the analysis platform, we recommend that you first create a dedicated computing source for the analysis platform. For more information, see Computing source.
The analysis platform supports offline computing sources of the following types: MaxCompute, Hadoop, Transwarp TDH 6.x, AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL, ArgoDB, StarRocks, GaussDB (DWS), Amazon EMR, SelectDB, and Doris. When using GaussDB (DWS), Amazon EMR, SelectDB, or Doris offline computing sources, manual tables are not supported.
After creating the analysis platform computing source, you also need to attach the created computing source to the analysis platform. For more information, see Analysis platform settings.
Notebook: Based on the analysis platform, you can create notebooks to record your analysis ideas and processes, including code, execution results, and analysis conclusions. For more information, see Create a notebook based on the analysis platform.
SQL query: The Dataphin analysis platform provides SQL query features. You can create SQL queries on the platform and write SQL code to query the required data. The platform also supports visual statistics and analysis based on query results. For more information, see Create an SQL query based on the analysis platform.
Manual table: The Dataphin analysis platform provides manual table features that support manual creation and editing of data tables in the production environment. For more information, see Create a manual table based on the analysis platform.
My data tables: Click My Data Tables to view the data tables available to you on the analysis platform. For more information, see View and manage analysis platform tables.
