Dataphin:Create manual tables based on the analysis platform

The analysis platform in Dataphin allows you to manually create and maintain production data tables.

Scenarios

Record and manage data: You can use manual tables to record and manage data. For example, business personnel can manually update customer statuses in the customer dimension table for downstream tasks. Data developers and O&M staff can also use manual tables to quickly update data and improve production efficiency.

Overview of the manual table development page

The manual table development page consists of the manual table directory, the editor menu, and the editing area.

Description

Manual Table Directory

The manual table directory contains two folders: My and Shared With Me.

  • My: Stores manual tables that you create. You can create subdirectories to organize them. To create a new manual table, see Create a new manual table .

  • Shared with me: Contains manual tables that other users have shared with you. You can view and manage these tables.

You can copy, shift, change owner, and delete manual tables that you created.

Manual Table Editor Menu

The Manual Table Editor Menu provides tools for editing and managing manual tables, including:

  • Save and publish: Click image.png to save and publish the manual table. Publishing may take some time if resources are scarce.

  • Save: Click image.png to save the manual table.

  • Import: Import data from TXT and CSV files.

  • Download: Save the data on the current page first, then download it in CSV format.

  • Share: Share the manual table with other Dataphin members. You can grant view, edit, or table structure modification permissions.

  • Modify table structure: Modify the table data by using DDL import and table introduction methods.

  • Table details: View details about the table, such as data table name, owner, last manual table modifier, last manual modification time, table description, and table structure.

  • Version: View published version details, such as version update time, owner, and type of update operation.

  • Search: Find specific data within the table or replace content.

  • Automatic column width: Enable automatic adjustment of column widths.

  • Acquire lock (release lock): Lock the table for editing and release the lock when you are done so that others can edit it.

  • Sync from engine: Synchronize the table with the latest data from the engine.

    Note

    This process may take a while and overwrites the current page data. Confirm the operation before proceeding.

  • Refresh: Update the table with the latest saved data.

  • Locate: Find the current table within the manual table directory.

Modify manual table data in the editing area.

To add rows to the manual table at the bottom of the editing area, enter the desired number of rows and click image.png.
