This topic describes how to purchase and manage Database Autonomy Service (DAS) Professional Edition.

Prerequisites

  • The database instance that you want to manage is of one of the following types:
    • ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL High-availability Edition and Enterprise Edition
    • ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server High-availability Edition and Cluster Edition
    • ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL High-availability Edition
    • PolarDB for MySQL Single Node Edition, X-Engine, Cluster Edition, and Multi-master Cluster (Database/Table)
    • PolarDB-X 2.0
  • The SQL Explorer and Audit feature is available in different regions for different types of databases.

  • Before you can purchase DAS Professional Edition as a RAM user, you must contact the owner of the Alibaba Cloud account to grant you the AliyunHDMFullAccess permission. For more information, see Grant permissions to a RAM user.

Procedure

  1. Go to the DAS Professional Edition buy page and configure the parameters described in the following table.
    ParameterDescription
    EditionThe value is set to Professional Edition.
    Available InstancesThe number of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition can be enabled.

    For example, a value of 5 indicates that you can enable DAS Professional Edition for up to five database instances.

    Note Configure this parameter based on your business requirements. For more information about how to change the number of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition can be enabled after DAS Professional Edition is purchased, see the DAS Professional Edition Management section of this topic.
    DurationThe subscription period of DAS Professional Edition.
    Note The default subscription duration is one month.
  2. Click Buy Now.
  3. On the Confirm Order page, confirm the configurations in the Parameters section, and select I have read and agree to DAS Professional Edition Agreement of Service.

  4. Click Pay to complete the payment.
    After DAS Professional Edition is purchased, go to the DAS Professional Edition Management page to add database instances for which you want to enable DAS Professional Edition Management. For more information, see the DAS Professional Edition Management section of this topic. Add Instance

DAS Professional Edition Management

On the DAS Professional Edition Management page, you can add available database instances, or upgrade, downgrade, or renew your DAS Professional Edition subscription. You can also modify the data storage duration of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition has been enabled, or disable DAS Professional Edition for the database instances.

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click DAS Professional Edition Management.
  3. On the page that appears, perform management operations.
    • Enable DAS Professional Edition for specific database instances
      1. Click Add Instance in the Actions column.
      2. In the Add Instance for DAS Professional Edition dialog box, select the database instances for which you want to enable DAS Professional Edition, and click the p2022022201 icon.
      3. Configure the Data Storage Duration parameter.
      4. Click OK.
        Note It takes 10 to 20 minutes for DAS Professional Edition to be enabled for the specified database instances. Then, you can view the related data on the Full Request, Security Audit, and SQL Explorer modules.

    • Upgrade: Click Upgrade to increase the number of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition can be enabled.
    • Downgrade: Click Downgrade to reduce the number of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition can be enabled.
      Note The number of available database instances after a downgrade cannot be less than the number of database instances for which DAS Professional Edition has been enabled.
    • Renew: Click Renew to extend the subscription duration of DAS Professional Edition.
    • Manage DAS Professional Edition for a specific database instance:
      • In the Used Instances section, click Disable DAS Professional Edition in the Actions column corresponding to a database instance. In the message that appears, click OK.
        Note After DAS Professional Edition is disabled for an instance, the SQL Explorer and Audit feature is disabled, and all data related to DAS Professional Edition is deleted. For more information about the precautions and subsequent operations, see Disable DAS Professional Edition.
      • In the Used Instances section, click Set Duration in the Actions column corresponding to an instance. In the dialog box that appears, modify the value of the Data Storage Duration parameter.
