This page provides an overview of share management operations in Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG).
Manage shares
Share management operations include share creation, setting, deletion, and restart.
Create a share
After a share is created, you can mount the share on a local directory. This share is linked to an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket, and any operations performed on the data within the share are applied directly to the corresponding data in the associated bucket. For more information, see Create a share.
Configure shares
You can configure share settings based on your actual requirements. The Network File System (NFS) protocol is suitable for accessing OSS from a Linux system, whereas the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol is appropriate for accessing OSS from a Windows system. For more information, see Configure a share.
Other operations
You can also delete a share or restart a share. For more information, see Perform other operations.
