Cloud Storage Gateway:Perform other operations

Last Updated:Jan 02, 2025

This topic describes how to delete a share, restart a share, and hide task information on the Shares page in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.

Prerequisites

A share is created. For more information, see Create a share.

  1. On the Gateways page of the CSG console, click the ID of the gateway.

  2. On the Shares tab, perform the operations described in the following table based on your actual requirements.

    Operation

    Description

    Delete a share

Find the share that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.

    • This operation does not delete data in the associated Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket.

    • Deleting a share deletes data from the corresponding cache disk. The delete operation does not release the cache disk.

    • If you create another share by using the cache disk, you must attach the cache disk and an OSS bucket to the share.

    Warning
    • Before you delete a share, verify that the share is no longer needed to prevent data losses or unexpected inconvenience.

    • Deleting a share interrupts data synchronization. We recommend that you delete a share only when the synchronization status is Sync Completed.

    Restart NFS shares

Click Restart NFS Shares to restart all Network File System (NFS) shares that are connected to the gateway.

    Warning

Restarting a share will cause temporary business interruptions. Exercise caution when performing this action.

    Restart SMB shares

Click Restart SMB Shares to restart all Server Block Message (SMB) shares that are connected to the gateway.

    Warning

Restarting a share will cause temporary business interruptions. Exercise caution when performing this action.

    Hide tasks

Click Hide Tasks to hide the task list at the bottom of the page.
