Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) is a fully-managed parallel file system provided by Alibaba Cloud. You can use CPFS in scenarios where high-performance computing is required. CPFS for Lingjun, an upgraded storage system for AI services, adopts an innovative distributed parallel storage architecture and supports high-performance RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) developed by Alibaba Cloud, virtual storage, and tiered cache Elastic File Client (EFC). This achieves high-throughput, low-latency, and high-performance serverless storage.
Benefits
CPFS for Lingjun offers the following benefits:
High performance: Adopt a distributed parallel storage architecture. A single file system supports a maximum throughput of 2 TB/s and a maximum of 30,000,000 IOPS. After a dataflow is created between a CPFS for Lingjun file system and an Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets, CPFS for Lingjun provides a throughput of up to 100 GB/s.
Low latency: Realize stable I/O at sub-millisecond latency.
Elastic scaling: Support auto scaling and linearly improved performance.
Massive file storage: Deploy a fully symmetric server architecture for metadata management. You can store up to 10 billion files in a single file system. More than 100,000 of metadata entries can be processed per second.
Low cost: Support efficient data exchange with OSS to reduce data storage costs.
Security: Use log audit and Cloud Backup to secure user data.
Supported scenarios
CPFS for Lingjun can be used in intelligent computing scenarios such as AI-generated content (AIGC) and autonomous driving. CPFS for Lingjun can be used only with Lingjun resources, general Platform for AI (PAI) computing resources, single-tenant Lingjun resources, and Alibaba Cloud Container Compute Service (ACS). You cannot access CPFS for Lingjun file systems from Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances.
Usage
If you want to create, use, or release a CPFS for Lingjun file system, use one of the following methods that are provided by Alibaba Cloud:
Use the NAS console
You can log on to the NAS console to manage your CPFS for Lingjun resources on web pages.
Use the CPFS API or CPFS SDKs
CPFS for Lingjun provides RESTful API operations and SDKs for multiple programming languages to facilitate custom development.
Disable
CPFS for Lingjun cannot be deactivated. If CPFS for Lingjun is activated but no CPFS for Lingjun file system is created, you are not charged for CPFS.
