Enable Kubernetes container monitoring for an ACK cluster
Starting from 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on April 14, 2025, Cloud Monitor will no longer provide the Kubernetes container monitoring feature for new users. For more information, see Announcement on the discontinuation of the Kubernetes container monitoring feature of Cloud Monitor. We recommend Managed Service for Prometheus for container monitoring. For more information, see Container observability.
Prerequisites

You have activated ACK and created a cluster. For more information, see Create an ACK managed cluster.

The metrics-server component of your ACK cluster is version 0.3.8.5 or later. For more information, see Upgrade metrics-server before a v1.12 cluster upgrade.
For ACK clusters created after 10:00:00 (UTC+8) on April 25, 2024, the Kubernetes container monitoring feature of Cloud Monitor is disabled by default. You must manually enable this feature to monitor the cluster in Cloud Monitor.
Procedure

Log in to the ACK console.

In the left-side navigation pane, click .

On the Clusters page, find the target cluster, click More in the Actions column, and then choose .

On the Core Components tab, in the Logs and Monitoring section, click Configure in the lower-right corner of the metrics-server component.

In the metrics-server Parameters dialog box, select the Enable Kubernetes monitoring of Cloud Monitor checkbox.

Click OK.
