Troubleshoot CloudMonitor agent heartbeat check failures - Cloud Monitor

CloudMonitor reports a Heartbeat Check Failed system event when a host is down, has network issues, or the agent stops. Use this procedure to identify and resolve the cause on an Alibaba Cloud host.

Procedure

Verify that the host is running. View instance information.
- If yes, proceed to step 2.
- If not, Start an instance or Restart an instance.

Verify that the CloudMonitor agent is running. Install and uninstall the CloudMonitor agent.
- If yes, go to step 3.
- If not, restart the agent. How do I restart the C++ version of the CloudMonitor agent?.
Ping the CloudMonitor heartbeat IP address from the host to test network connectivity.
Find the heartbeat IP address in Configure a network.
- If yes, go to step 4.
- If not, configure the host network. Configure network.
Collect the agent logs from the /usr/local/cloudmonitor/local_data/logs directory and submit a ticket to CloudMonitor.
