Cloud Monitor:Detect the performance of a site

Last Updated:Aug 11, 2025

You can use browsers to query the request and response data of a site in different regions and network environments, and monitor the loading performance of all elements and resources in the site. This topic describes how to use browsers to detect the performance of a site. Taobao is used as an example. The loading performance of Taobao is detected by accessing Taobao from different browsers on mobile phones.

Prerequisites

Network Analysis and Monitoring is activated. For more information, see Activate Network Analysis and Monitoring.

Note

For information about the billing of browser detection, see Network Analysis and Monitoring.

Step 1: Create a browser detection task

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, click Create Task.

  4. On the Create Task page, configure the parameters for the browser detection task.

For more information about the parameters of a browser detection task, see Use the script recording feature to define assertions on the execution result of a specific business logic.

    • Basic Information

Set the Task Name parameter, set the Monitored Address parameter to https://www.taobao.com/, and set the Browsers and Devices parameter to Mobile Phone, Chrome, and Firefox. Keep the default values of other parameters.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  2. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, click the name of the detection task.
