    With pay-as-you-go billing for Network Analysis and Monitoring, you are charged based on actual usage of carrier detection points.

    Site monitoring probes domain names or IP addresses from carrier detection points across global regions to measure network quality and connectivity.

    Billing formula

    Site monitoring fee = Number of probes from detection points × Unit price per probe.

    Note

    Last Mile detection nodes outside the Chinese mainland will be commercially billed starting from 11:00 on August 4, 2025 (UTC+8).

    • PC

      • Carrier detection nodes within the Chinese mainland = USD 1.7 per 10,000 probes (USD 0.00017 per probe)

      • Carrier detection nodes outside the Chinese mainland = USD 8.4 per 10,000 probes (USD 0.00084 per probe).

      • Last Mile detection nodes within the Chinese mainland = USD 34 per 10,000 probes (USD 0.0034 per probe).

      • Last Mile detection nodes outside the Chinese mainland = USD 34 per 10,000 probes (USD 0.0034 per probe).

    • Mobile

      • Carrier detection points within the Chinese mainland = USD 60 per 10,000 probes

    • VPC Network Probes

      • USD 0.17 per 10,000 probes

    Note
    • Carriers in mainland China are those registered in mainland China, such as Alibaba, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.
    • Carriers outside mainland China are those registered outside mainland China, such as AWS (Amazon), Azure (Microsoft), and Google.

    Billing example

    • Single-step probe

      • PC

        A customer enables Network Analysis and Monitoring on March 1, 2024 and creates a single-step probe task with 20 China Mobile detection points, 10 AWS detection points, and 5 Last Mile detection nodes within the Chinese mainland. Probe frequency: 5 minutes. March probe fees:

        1. China Mobile probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 30 days × 20 detection points × (USD 1.7 / 10,000) = USD 29.376

        2. AWS probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 30 days × 10 detection points × (USD 8.4 / 10,000) = USD 72.576

        3. Last Mile probe fee (within the Chinese mainland) = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 30 days × 5 detection points × (USD 34 / 10,000) = USD 146.88

        4. Total probe fee for March = USD 29.376 + USD 72.576 + USD 146.88 = USD 248.832

      • Mobile

        A customer enables Network Analysis and Monitoring on August 1, 2023 and creates a single-step mobile probe task with 5 China Mobile detection points. Probe frequency: 5 minutes. August probe fees:

        Probe fee for August = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 31 days × 5 detection points × (USD 60 / 10,000) = USD 267.84

    • Multi-step probe

      • A customer enables Network Analysis and Monitoring on May 1, 2025 and creates a multi-step probe task with 2 single-step requests, probing 20 China Mobile and 10 AWS detection points. Probe frequency: 5 minutes. May probe fees:

        1. China Mobile probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 30 days × 20 detection points × (USD 1.7 / 10,000) = USD 29.376

        2. AWS probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 30 days × 10 detection points × (USD 8.4 / 10,000) = USD 72.576

        3. Total probe fee for May = (USD 29.376 + USD 72.576) × 2 single-step requests = USD 203.904

    • Carrier detection points outside the Chinese mainland = USD 0.0075 per probe

    Billing example

    A customer enables Network Analysis and Monitoring on July 1, 2023 and creates a browser monitoring task probing one Alibaba Cloud detection point each in Shanghai and London. Probe frequency: 5 minutes. July probe fees:

    1. Alibaba Cloud Shanghai region probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 31 days × 1 detection point × USD 0.0015 per probe = USD 13.392

    2. Alibaba Cloud London region probe fee = (60 minutes / 5 minutes) × 24 hours × 31 days × 1 detection point × USD 0.0075 per probe = USD 66.96

    3. Total probe fee for July = USD 13.392 + USD 66.96 = USD 80.352
