Type | Subtype | Backup feature |
File Storage NAS | General-purpose NAS file systems
| Back up files from a File Storage NAS file system Important If the SMB ACL feature is enabled for NAS, File Storage NAS backup is unavailable. In this case, we recommend that you use on-premises NAS backup or ECS file backup. |
Extreme NAS file system | ||
Self-managed NAS file systems | NAS file systems created in self-managed data centers or by users, such as Isilon (PowerScale) NAS file systems, NetApp file systems, and Windows shared folders. |
You can also back up File Storage NAS file systems by using the ECS file backup feature. For more information, see Back up NFS file systems by using the ECS file backup feature and Back up SMB file systems by using the ECS file backup feature.
For the regions or NAS file systems that do not support ECS file backup, you can use on-premises NAS backup to back up file systems. For more information, see Back up NFS file systems by using the on-premises file backup feature and Back up SMB file systems by using the on-premises file backup feature.
