ApsaraDB for ClickHouse is available in multiple regions and zones across the globe. This page lists all supported regions and zones by edition and explains how to choose the right region for your cluster.

Important
Region selection is permanent. If you need to move to a different region later, you must migrate data to a new cluster in the target region and then release the original cluster. See Migrate data between ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Community-compatible Edition clusters and Delete a cluster.
Choose a region
Select a region based on the following factors.

| Proximity to users | Network latency depends on geographic distance and communication link quality. Choose the region closest to your users to minimize latency and improve access speed. |
| Internal network access to other cloud services | Services in the same region can communicate over a virtual private cloud (VPC) endpoint — no data transfer fees, and faster than the internet. Deploy ApsaraDB for ClickHouse and other Alibaba Cloud services in the same region if you need internal network communication between them. This factor does not apply if you use a cloud network service to connect services across regions. |
| Resource pricing | Prices vary by region. Check the pricing page for region-specific costs before deciding. |
| Feature availability | New features launch in select regions first during public preview. To try a feature in preview, create a cluster in one of its supported regions. See Release notes for the latest feature availability. |
