ApsaraDB for ClickHouse:Delete a cluster

Last Updated:Nov 24, 2025

ApsaraDB for ClickHouse allows you to delete pay-as-you-go clusters. This topic describes how to delete a pay-as-you-go cluster in the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

Warning

After a cluster is deleted, all data in the cluster is deleted and cannot be restored. Proceed with caution. We recommend that you migrate or back up data before you delete a cluster. For more information, see Data migration synchronization and Import and export through CSV files.

Prerequisites

The cluster status is Running.

Limits

Subscription clusters cannot be directly deleted. You can unsubscribe from a subscription cluster in the following ways:

Billing

After a cluster is released, billing stops immediately. At the same time, the Classic Load Balancer (CLB) of the cluster is also released, and CLB billing stops within the next hour. For more information about CLB fees, see Billing of dependent services.

Note
  • If a cluster is locked due to an overdue account and then released, the CLB will not be released. After you settle the overdue payment, the CLB will be released.

  • From the time a cluster is locked until it is released, the CLB continues to incur fees. If you no longer plan to use the cluster, we recommend that you release the CLB promptly to avoid additional losses. For more information, see CLB release and mount.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select the region where the cluster that you want to delete is deployed.

  3. On the Clusters page, select the instance list that corresponds to the type of the target cluster.

  4. Select the appropriate steps based on the type of target cluster.

    • Community-compatible edition cluster: Click More > Delete in the Actions column of the target cluster.

    • Enterprise edition cluster: Click Release in the Actions column of the target cluster.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
