Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) provides proactive alerting capabilities that help you identify risks promptly, view potentially affected resources, and prevent business disruptions.
Supported alert events
Alert events are defined by Alibaba Cloud to record and notify information about network resources, such as operation and maintenance task execution status, resource abnormalities, and resource status changes.
The CEN console supports three types of alert events, as shown in the following table:
Event code | Name | Level | Description | Alert rule | Recommended action |
problem-cen-routeOverLimit | CEN route quota exceeded | Critical | The number of CEN routes exceeds the quota, resulting in network issues. | Critical: The number of CEN routes exceeds the quota, which results in network issues. | Upgrade the transit router. For more information, see Upgrade a Basic Edition transit router. |
problem-cen-vpcAttachBandwidthOverLimit | Packet loss due to VPC connection bandwidth being exceeded | Critical | Packet loss occurs because the peak bandwidth of CEN transit routers is exceeded. | Critical: The inbound packet loss rate exceeded 0% for more than five data points within a 10-minute period. | Increase the peak bandwidth. For more information, see Increase the CEN quota. |
problem-cen-peerAttachBandwidthOverLimit | Packet loss due to inter-region connection bandwidth being exceeded | Critical | Packet loss occurs because the peak bandwidth of CEN transit routers has been exceeded. | Critical: The alert is triggered when the actual traffic of the transit router meets both of the following conditions. Condition 1: Outbound bandwidth peak usage exceeds 90% for over eight monitoring points within ten minutes. Condition 2: There are more than eight monitoring points in ten minutes in which the outbound packet loss rate in rate-limited scenarios exceeds 100 packets per second (pps). | Increase the peak bandwidth. For more information, see Increase the CEN quota. |
View alert events
Log on to the CEN console.
On the Instances page, find the target CEN instance and click its ID.
On the CEN instance details page, click the Event Center tab to view all events that occurred in the last 30 days.
The Event Center tab is integrated from Network Intelligence Service (NIS).
Subscribe to alert events
Subscribe to alert events to receive notifications about their occurrence and progress by phone, text message, or email.
Log on to the CEN Console.
