Bastionhost:Host O&M

Last Updated:Oct 21, 2025

You can log on to the O&M portal as a local user to view the assets on which you have permissions and perform O&M operations on the assets. You can also click Web Remote Connection in the O&M portal to log on to an asset and perform O&M operations. This topic describes how to log on to the O&M portal of a bastion host to perform O&M operations on the host.

Supported versions

Enterprise Edition and SM Edition.

Note

If your Bastionhost instance is Basic Edition, upgrade to the corresponding version. For more information, see Upgrade instance type.

File transfer limits

Note

For large files, you can use the client to upload.

  • SSH protocol: The maximum size of a single file transfer is 2 GB.

  • RDP protocol: The maximum size of a single file transfer is 2 GB, the maximum file transfer size for a single session is 5 GB, and the maximum global concurrent file transfer is 50 GB.

Prerequisites

The administrator has created hosts and users (non-RAM users) in the bastion host and has granted these users permissions for the required assets and asset accounts. For instructions, see Add hosts, Manage users, and Authorize users or user groups to manage assets and asset accounts.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the O&M portal of your bastion host. For more information, see Log on to the O&M portal.

  2. In the left navigation bar, click Host.

  3. In the host list, find the host that you want to manage and click Remote Connection in the Remote Connection column.

  4. In the Remote Connection dialog box, select a value from Host Account and click Web Remote Connection.

  5. Go to the O&M web page of the host and perform O&M operations.

    RDP protocol file transfer example

When performing O&M using the RDP protocol, file transfers must go through CloudDisk. For example, when uploading files, local files are first stored in CloudDisk, and you need to download them from CloudDisk to the host. When downloading files, you similarly need to upload files from the host to CloudDisk, and then download them to your local device. The following example describes the download process:

    1. Upload files to CloudDisk.
