When you can't log on to a bastion host or connect to an asset for O&M operations, the connectivity diagnostics feature helps you pinpoint the problem — whether it's between your client and the bastion host, or between the bastion host and the asset.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A bastion host updated to V3.2.33. For upgrade instructions, see Update a bastion host
How it works
The Self-service Diagnosis page offers two diagnosis types:
| Diagnosis type | What it checks |
|---|---|
| Diagnosis on Connection from Bastion Host to Server | Connectivity between the bastion host and an asset, including account validity and network reachability |
| Diagnosis on Connection from Client to Bastion Host | Connectivity between your client and the bastion host O&M address |
Your access path to the Self-service Diagnosis page depends on your user type:
| User type | Access path |
|---|---|
| RAM user | Bastionhost console |
| Local user | O&M portal |
