Subscription

Subscription resources support unsubscription from active instances and cancellation of renewal periods. Before you unsubscribe from a Managed Service for Prometheus instance, review the following rules, notes, and examples. For more information, see Unsubscription Rules for International Site.

Unsubscription rules

• Refund formula: Refund amount = Amount paid - Usage cost

  • Amount paid: The cash paid for the order, excluding amounts covered by a voucher or coupon.

  • Usage cost = Daily price (Monthly price / 30) × Usage duration × Original order discount.

    The daily price is calculated based on the original price of the order. For example, if the monthly price of a subscription instance was USD 298/month at the time of purchase and the price has since increased to USD 398/month, the daily price is still calculated based on the original purchase price: USD 298/30 per day.

    Note

    Usage duration is measured in days. A partial day counts as a full day.

• Unsubscription restrictions: For Managed Service for Prometheus services purchased during a promotion, if the general unsubscription rules conflict with the promotion rules, the promotion rules take precedence. You cannot unsubscribe from Managed Service for Prometheus resources if the promotion specifies that unsubscription is not supported. If the refund amount is 0, online unsubscription is not supported.

Self-service unsubscription procedure

You can unsubscribe from a subscription instance of Managed Service for Prometheus in the console.

On the Unsubscribe page, select an unsubscription option based on the purchase status of your Prometheus instance.

Unsubscribe from In-use Resources

Use this option if you no longer need the subscription for an instance.

1. On the Unsubscribe page, click the Unsubscribe from In-use Resources tab.

2. Find the Prometheus instance that you want to unsubscribe from, and in the Operation column, click Unsubscribe Resource.

   Note

   If you have many orders, you can filter the list. Set Product Name to Prometheus Pro Edition (Subscription) and specify the Instance ID or Order Time.

3. On the Unsubscribe Resource page, carefully review and verify the resource information, select a Reason for Unsubscription, and select the I have read the Unsubscription Rules and confirm the refund amount. and I confirm that data in the instance has been backed up and migrated. checkboxes.

Cancel Renewals

Use this option to cancel a renewal order.

1. On the Unsubscribe page, click the Cancel Renewals tab.

2. Find the subscription Prometheus instance whose renewal you want to cancel, and in the Actions column, click Cancle Renewal.

   Note

   If you have many orders, you can filter the list. Set Product Name to Prometheus Pro Edition (Subscription) and specify the Instance ID or Order Time.

3. On the Cancle Renewal page, confirm the Updated Expiration Time, and select the I have read the Unsubscription Rules and confirm the refund amount. checkbox.

4. Click Unsubscribe Now, and then click OK in the confirmation dialog box.

Effects of unsubscription

After you unsubscribe from a subscription instance, its billing method automatically changes to pay-as-you-go. For more information about the pay-as-you-go billing method, see Pay-as-you-go.

You can continue to use Managed Service for Prometheus as long as your account balance is sufficient. An insufficient balance leads to overdue payments. For more information about the effects of overdue payments, see Overdue Payments.

Refund path

Pay-as-you-go

Pay-as-you-go charges accrue after resource use. The system settles the previous day's fees daily and deducts the amount from your account. Because no upfront payment is required, unsubscription does not apply.
