This topic describes the billing rules and cycle for Synthetic Monitoring of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS).
Starting June 1, 2024, Synthetic Monitoring no longer provides the pay-as-you-go billing method or subscription resources for new users. For more information, see [Product changes] Discontinuation of the activation of Synthetic Monitoring.
Billing rules
Synthetic Monitoring Pro Edition charges fees as follows:
Method | Billable item | Description |
Number of synthetic tests | The pay-as-you-go billing method allows you to use resources before paying for them. You are charged based on your resource usage. At the end of each billing cycle, bills are generated, and the corresponding fees are deducted from the balance of your Alibaba Cloud account. Synthetic Monitoring offers a free quota of 3,000 tests per month for PC detection points (data centers and LastMile). For information about the detection points, see Terms. Note The free quota cannot be used for detection points of mobile devices or cloud hosts. |
Billing cycle
The billing cycle for ARMS is one day. Synthetic Monitoring calculates resource consumption of the previous day at 00:00. Bills are usually generated in the morning on the day of the charge but may sometimes later than expected. After the bills are issued, the system automatically deducts the billed amount from your Alibaba Cloud account, provided that your account balance is sufficient.
You can view bills on the Expenses and Costs page of your account and the observable data volume in the ARMS console. For more information, see Resource usage and bills.
