Description
Failed to send the email by Alibaba Mail, and the returned email contains the following information:
502 Mailfrom account is a local accountCause
1. When the Alibaba Mail user sends emails by third-party email client, he needs to set the specified sending email server address smtp.qiye.aliyun.com with port 25 (the encryption port is 465). If you set the address of the sending server of the local client to the address of the proxy server or another server, the above error will be displayed when sending emails to the Alibaba Mail.
2. The domain name of the sending and receiving party has used the email service of Alibaba Mail system, and now it changes to another service provider. Yet the email record in the Alibaba Cloud system is still retained. At this time, when the communication party communicates with any email account of Alibaba Mail, the above same-domain identity authentication fails, resulting in unsuccessful email transmission.
Solution
1. Please use Alibaba Mail SMTP server for sending emails. Reference: Alibaba Mail IMAP, POP, SMTP address and port information.
2. Check with the owner of the email address on the other party to check whether the email service provided by Alibaba Mail has been used before. If so, please refer to Change the Domain Name of Alibaba Mail and change the domain name used by the current email service to another domain name.
