    ActionTrail:Overview of data events

    ActionTrail supports data events. You can create trails for data events to deliver the data events to Simple Log Service (SLS) for further analysis and management. When you create a trail, you can configure data event-specific parameters, including Read/Write Type, Event Name, and Resource ARN.

    Overview

    ActionTrail allows you to create trails for management events and data events. When you create a trail, you can configure data event-specific parameters, including Read/Write Type, Event Name, and Resource ARN. You can also specify multiple regions for the trail. ActionTrail processes and delivers the data events generated in the specified regions to SLS.

    How an Insights event works

    When you create a trail for data events, you can configure a data event selector. ActionTrail delivers data events that are tracked based on the configured selector to SLS.

    Note

    After you create a trail for data events, ActionTrail delivers tracked data events to SLS projects in different regions. This generates fees for data storage in SLS. For more information, see Billing of Simple Log Service.

    Note

    If you specify the following regions for a data event trail, ActionTrail delivers tracked data events to an SLS project in the China (Hangzhou) region instead of projects in the specified regions:

    • China (Wuhan - Local Region)

    • Zhengzhou (CUCC Joint Venture)

    • Qingdao Haier ACDR

    • Heyuan ACDR Auto

      Note

      Currently, you cannot deliver OSS data events in Finance Cloud regions.
