Use cost insights to monitor the estimated resource spend of a Knative Service across application and pod dimensions, and to identify cost optimization opportunities. This topic describes how to view cost insights for a Knative Service in Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK).
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:

A deployed Knative Service. For more information, see Quickly deploy a Knative application.

The Cost Insights feature enabled. For more information, see Enable Cost Insights.

View cost insights for a Knative Service

Log on to the ACK console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters.

On the Clusters page, click the name of your cluster. In the left navigation pane, click Applications > Knative.

Click the Services tab. In the service list, click Cost Insights in the Actions column. The console displays real-time estimated cost data for the Knative Service within the queried time range. Parameter Description Application Cost The aggregate estimated cost of the Knative Service in real time within the queried time range. Pod-level Cost Analysis The estimated cost for each pod of the Knative Service in real time within the queried time range.
Cost allocation models
When viewing cost insights data, you can select a cost allocation model that suits your workload: CPU Model, Memory Model, or CPU-Memory Hybrid Model. For the calculation formulas for each model, see Cost estimation policies.
