Container Service for Kubernetes:Container system events

Last Updated:Jan 20, 2025

Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) logs system events to help you understand important information generated during the O&M of your cluster.

Introduction

During the O&M of your cluster, ACK generates event records at key points, including the following:

  • Cluster operations: modifications, deletions, upgrades

  • Component operations: installations, uninstallations, updates, upgrades

  • Node pool operations: creation, updates, scale-outs, scale-ins, upgrades, deletions

Event notification channels

You can access ACK system events through multiple channels, including the Message Center in Alibaba Cloud Management Console and the Event Center in Simple Log Service console. You can configure appropriate contacts to receive relevant notifications.

Description

Query and receive system events such as instance billing expirations, resource status changes, proactive maintenance operations, and security risk alerts. Configure notification methods and message recipients for each type of message as needed. For more information, see Manage common message settings.

After creating a K8s Event Center in an ACK cluster, you can query system events on the Kubernetes Event Center page in the Simple Log Service console. ACK provides default alert rules. You can configure alert rules based on log information through custom resource definitions (CRDs). For more information, see Alert management.
