After an ApsaraDB for MongoDB subscription instance expires, the instance is released and its data is permanently deleted. To prevent data loss, you can enable auto-renewal for the instance, or manually renew the instance within 30 days after the instance expires. This topic describes how to manually renew an ApsaraDB for MongoDB subscription instance.

Prerequisites

The instance that you want to renew is a subscription instance.

Background information

After the subscription expires, your instance continues to be available for 15 days. After that, the instance is locked. The instance is released when the payment has been overdue for more than 30 days. The data on the released instance is permanently deleted.
