Introduction

In my previous article, I explained how to set up a website using E-Mall’s Basic edition in detail. This article focuses on E-Mall’s Professional.

The Professional edition covers all the features found in the Basic edition. It includes additional features, such as intelligent translation, Google sitemap, Google feed sync, and tax rate management (among others.)

Setting up Your E-Mall Website Subscription

The following step-by-step guide explains how to get the $9.90 USD special E-Mall offer and set up your subscription.

Step 1: Log in to your Alibaba Cloud account and visit the ShopALi product page.
Step 2 You will be prompted to pick the product that meets your specification. Choose the Version (the Professional edition) and select the Period you want to use the service. Lastly, click the Buy Now button.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the order confirmation page. Agree with the end-user license agreement and click Order.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the purchase order page. Select your desired payment method and click Purchase.

Step 5: You will see that your order has been processed successfully.

After your order has been processed successfully, you can see your new SaaS product subscription by clicking on Console.

Setting up Your Business Website in E-Mall

After signing up for the E-Mall or ShopALi Professional edition, the next step is to build your business website.

Step 1: From the ShopALi website management console, click the Design button to check the design properties of your new website.

Select the Auto Login action on your SaaS product subscription To access the website management console.

Note: The first website is the default template provided by ShopALI. You can change it to fit your requirements or create an entirely new website using other templates that come shipped with the ShopALi product.

Step 2: A pop-up window will notify you that your website is in non-public access mode, which means others cannot access it yet. You can select the I see button at this time.

Step 3: Next, you will be given the option to select the design you prefer for your website. In this scenario, I will choose the Responsive Website option. Click Start Design.

Step 4: Once selected, you will be redirected to the website editor.

In the website editor, there are various options, such as the Design section, which contains the different page layouts and other options.

There is also the Menu option you can use to create, edit, and publish new pages, posts, products, media, and more.

You also have additional options, such as adding and editing products, adding and managing users, adding and managing media files (such as audio and video), configuring download files and settings, adding comments and forms, and configuring other general settings (such as email templates and plugins.)

The menu option will redirect you to another website where you can work with all the available website building features.

Now, you have the website configuration section, which has various configurations you can add to your website, such as the website’s name, website icons, language, SEO settings, performance (such as CDN), image compression, and link formats.

Using Templates for Your Business Website

Step 1: E-Mall or ShopALi also provides various website templates that you can work with depending on your business requirements. You can access the ShopALi management console and click the Create button to use any template.

Step 2: You can choose your preferred website template by clicking Choose:

Step 4: Select your preferred web server location and click Create website now:

Step 5: Once your website is created, it will be added to the list of websites in the ShopALi website management console:

Step 6: After your website has been added successfully, the next step is to upgrade to the Professional edition of ShopALi, also known as the Expert edition. Click on the Upgrade button.

Step 7: You will be forwarded to the packages page where you choose the Expert edition and click Upgrade to this package.

Step 8: Confirm the upgrade and click Yes.

Step 9: Choose the region you want your website to be located and click Confirm and continue.

Step 10: After the upgrade is complete, you can click Edit website, modify the template, and add content to your website.

Binding Your Business Website to a Domain

Step 1: To bind your business website to a domain, access the ShopALi website management console and select the website you want to bind. Then, click the Bind Domain button.

Step 2: On the next page, select the I already have a domain name and need to bind my website button.

Step 3: You will be given DNS records that you can add to your DNS provider to route traffic to your website. Once you are finished, click on the red button to confirm that you have added the settings.

Note The DNS records generated for your website will differ from those in the example below.

Step 4: You will have to enter the domain that leads to your business website and click the Confirm the changes button.

After a few minutes, you will access your website using the custom domain you defined.

Step 5: Additionally, you can enforce an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection or certificate to your website by clicking the padlock icon in the website management console.

That’s it! Now you know how to run a business website for only $9.90 USD using the Professional edition of E-Mall or ShopALi.
