WUYING Workspace:View the metric information of cloud computers

Last Updated:Apr 12, 2024

A comprehensive understanding of resource usage and health status can be achieved by monitoring critical resources and network conditions of cloud computers or cloud computer pools. This topic describes how to view the metric information of cloud computers.

Prerequisites

The permissions to view or operate cloud computer resources are obtained. For more information, see Overview.

View metric graphs

Metric graphs visually display the metric changes of cloud computers within specific time intervals.

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Monitoring > Cloud Computers.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Cloud Computers page, click the Cloud Computer Resource, Cloud Computer Pool Resource, or Top 50 Resources tab. On the selected tab, find the desired cloud computer and click Graphs in the Actions column.

  5. On the Monitoring Details page, select a time interval or specify a custom time interval to view the graphs of metrics such as CPU Usage, Memory Usage, and System Disk Usage during the time interval.

Restart cloud computers

When metric exceptions occur on a cloud computer, we recommend that you restart the cloud computer.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Monitoring > Cloud Computers.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Cloud Computers page, click the Cloud Computer Resource, Cloud Computer Pool Resource, or Top 50 Resources tab. On the selected tab, find the desired cloud computer and click Restart in the Actions column. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • If you want to restart multiple cloud computers at the same time, perform the following operations: Select the desired cloud computers and click Restart in the lower-left corner of the page.

    Warning

Before you restart a cloud computer, you can notify the connected end users to save their files to prevent data loss. For more information, see Send messages.

Send messages

Before you restart a cloud computer, you can send messages to the cloud computer to remind the connected end users of the upcoming restart. This allows end users to save files to prevent data loss.

Note

Before you send messages, take note of the following requirements:

  • The cloud computer must be a Windows cloud computer that uses the Adaptive Streaming Protocol (ASP). The image of the cloud computer must be a system image of V 1.0.0 or later or a custom image created based on a system image of V 1.0.0 or later.

  • The WUYING terminals of the end users must be Windows clients or macOS clients.

On the selected tab, select the desired cloud computer and click Send Message in the lower part of the page.

  4. In the Send Message dialog box, configure the Subject and Messages parameters and click Confirm.

After you send a message, the Message sent. message appears in the WUYING Workspace Pro Edition console. The cloud computer receives and displays the message that you sent.

View runtime duration rankings

You can view the runtime duration rankings of cloud computers and manage cloud computer resources based on the rankings. You can also view the operational records of end users.

Note

Statistics that contribute to rankings are collected starting from March 26, 2024.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Monitoring > Cloud Computers.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Cloud Computers page, click the Top Running Duration tab. On the tab that appears, select a time interval or specify a custom time interval and view the runtime duration rankings of cloud computers during the time interval. You can also perform the following operations based on your business requirements:

    • Manage cloud computer resources. For example, if you want to change the billing method of a specific cloud computer, click Resources in the Actions column to navigate to the Cloud Computers page. On the page that appears, you can change the billing method.

      Note

For information about how to change the billing method of a cloud computer, see Change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription.

    • View the operational records of end users. You can click Details in the Actions column of the desired cloud computer and view the operational records on the Operation Log page.

      Note

For information about how to view operational records, see View administrator operation logs.

FAQ

What do I do if an alert rule is configured but no alert is sent to alert contacts?

Specific data on cloud computers is collected by CloudMonitor agent. By default, CloudMonitor agent is disabled in cloud computers. If metrics are missing, perform the following steps to enable CloudMonitor agent:

  1. Press the shortcut keys Win+R on your cloud computer, and enter services.msc in the Run window. Then, press Enter to open the Services window.

  2. In the Services window, find the service named argusagent service, right-click the service, and select Properties.

  3. On the General tab, set the Startup type parameter to Automatic. If the service is not running, click Start in the Service status section and then click OK.
