DashVector:VPC

Last Updated:Mar 17, 2025

This topic describes how to connect DashVector to a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

Prerequisites

Add DashVector to a VPC

  1. Log on to the DashVector console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, find the cluster that you want to operate and click Details in the Operation column.image

  3. On the details page, click the Access Control tab and then click VPC. In the Create AliyunServiceRoleForDashVector dialog box, click OK to automatically create the AliyunServiceRoleForDashVector role.image

    Important
    • If you enter the VPC configuration page of DashVector for the first time, you will be prompted to authorize the creation of the AliyunServiceRoleForDashVector role. For more information, see AliyunServiceRoleForDashVector .

    • You can add DashVector to a VPC only after the AliyunServiceRoleForDashVector role is created.

  4. Click Add a proprietary network.image

  5. Select the created Proprietary Network, Security Group, and Availability Zones and Switches, and then click OK.image

    Note
    • A VPC enables private network connection at the account level. All clusters of an account are mounted to a VPC if one of them is mounted to the VPC.

    • A cluster can be mounted to multiple VPCs, and multiple clusters can be mounted to the same VPC.

    • A cluster and its VPC must be in the same region.

    Important
    • Creating a VPC incurs additional fees based on private link pricing. For more information, see Billing overview.

    • If you mount different clusters to different VPCs, all VPC are charged. We recommend that you mount clusters to the same VPC.

Delete a Proprietary Network

  1. Log on to the DashVector console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, find the cluster whose VPC you want to delete and click Details in the Operation column.image

  2. Click the Access Control tab and then click Proprietary Network. Find the VPC to be deleted, and click Delete. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.image

    Warning
    • If VPC A is deleted for a cluster, the cluster cannot access VPC A.

    • If multiple clusters are mounted to VPC A and VPC A is deleted for cluster A but not cluster B, VPC A still incurs fees.

    • If VPC A is deleted for all clusters mounted to it, the channel of VPC A is deleted, and no fees are incurred.
