VPN Gateway:Enable the SSL-VPN feature

Enable SSL-VPN on an existing VPN Gateway instance without creating a new one.

Limits

  • If your VPN Gateway instance was created before January 20, 2018 and has not been upgraded, you must upgrade it before you can enable SSL-VPN. See Upgrade a VPN gateway.

    If your VPN Gateway instance was created before January 20, 2018 and has already been upgraded, you can enable SSL-VPN directly.

  • If your VPN Gateway instance was created on or after January 20, 2018, you can enable SSL-VPN directly.

Effective time

Changes take effect immediately but may require several minutes to propagate across the network.

Billing impact

After you change the configuration, billing starts based on the new configuration. See SSL-VPN billing.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the VPN Gateway console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the VPN gateway instance resides.

  3. On the VPN Gateway page, find your VPN Gateway instance. In the Feature Configuration column, click Enable next to SSL Disabled.

  4. On the configuration page, select Enable for SSL-VPN, select the number of SSL-VPN connections, review and accept the terms of service, click Buy Now, and complete the payment.
