Reasons for overdue payments

ApsaraVideo VOD generates overdue payments in these scenarios:

  • You have a resource plan, but your usage exceeds its quota or you incur charges for items not covered by the plan, and your account balance is insufficient.

Overdue payment policies

Warning

An overdue payment puts your services at risk of suspension. The system notifies you to pay your bill. Pay promptly to avoid service disruptions such as service unavailability, bucket release, or permanent data deletion.

Overdue payment notifications

The system immediately sends a text message or email when an overdue payment occurs.

Service suspension

If a payment is overdue, ApsaraVideo VOD is suspended after 15 days. Upon suspension, accelerated domain names are unpublished, video uploads and playback are disabled, and bucket storage permissions change to Private. If the payment remains overdue beyond 15 days, you are considered to have voluntarily discontinued ApsaraVideo VOD. Your bucket is revoked, and all data including uploaded and transcoded videos is deleted and cannot be recovered.

Settle overdue payments and resume service

If you add funds and settle the overdue payment within 15 days, the service resumes automatically. However, bucket storage permissions remain Private. Change permissions as needed from Manage buckets. Other configurations, including accelerated domain names and video playback, restore automatically.
