Billing methods

VOD supports pay-as-you-go (default) and subscription-based resource plans for common paid features.

Pay-as-you-go: You are charged based on actual usage. Suitable for variable workloads.
Resource plans (subscription): Purchase discounted plans in advance. Usage is deducted from plans at settlement. Suitable for stable workloads.

Note

Resource plans are discounted compared to pay-as-you-go.
If a resource plan expires or its quota is exceeded, overage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Purchase resource plans.

Choose the resource plan that best fits your workload. Resource plans.
Data transfer plans apply only when the acceleration billing method is pay-by-data-transfer. Otherwise, the plans are frozen. Switch between billing methods.

ApsaraVideo VOD storage plan	Deducts media asset storage usage. Globally available.	Purchase
ApsaraVideo VOD transcoding plan	Deducts transcoding fees for Standard (H.264 LD), Narrowband HD 1.0 (H.264 LD), and Narrowband HD 2.0 (H.264 LD). Region-specific.	Purchase
ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan	Deducts acceleration traffic only (excludes storage outbound traffic). Region-specific.	Purchase

VOD billing cycles:
