Certificate Management Service:Why can't I get a refund for my certificate order?

Last Updated:Jun 16, 2026

If you see the message "The refund period of the order has elapsed or the available quota is insufficient, and a refund cannot be processed" when requesting a refund, one of the following scenarios applies.

Scenario 1: The refund period has elapsed

The refund period for an SSL certificate order is 7 calendar days from the time of payment. Orders that exceed this period are no longer eligible for a refund.

Scenario 2: Certificates from the order have been applied for use

The payment for your order was made within the 7-calendar-day refund window, but you have already applied for certificates using the quota included in the order. In this case, the available refund quota is insufficient, and a direct refund is not possible.

Solution

You must first remove the applied certificates from the order. Follow these steps:

  1. For certificates that are pending application, cancel the certificate application.

  2. For certificates that are issued, revoke the certificate.

After completing the steps above, you can successfully request a refund. For detailed instructions, see Refund rules.
