This topic describes the refund rules for Certificate Management Service resources and services, including SSL certificates, HTTPS Acceleration Gateway instances, Private Certificate Authority (PCA) services, message notifications, public domain name monitoring, certificate application repositories, deployment quotas.
General refund rules
The following rules apply to all refund requests:
Refund period: You must submit your refund request within 7 calendar days after the order is paid. Late requests are not accepted.
Promotional orders: Products purchased through special promotions are subject to promotion-specific refund terms.
Refund amount: Only the actual cash payment is refunded. Amounts paid with coupons are not refundable.
Refund method:
Refunds are returned to the original payment method.
If the original payment method is unavailable (for example, a canceled bank card), the refund is credited to your Alibaba Cloud account balance.
Refund eligibility by service
The following table summarizes the refund conditions for each service.

SSL certificate refunds
Refund conditions
SSL certificates are issued by a Certificate Authority (CA). Refund requests submitted more than 7 calendar days after purchase are not accepted.
To request a refund for an SSL certificate, you must meet the General refund rules and the following conditions:
Revocation deadline: If the certificate has been issued, the revocation review must be completed within 7 calendar days of the order payment. For more information, see Revoke and delete an SSL certificate.
Certificate type restrictions: No refunds are available for Multiple Domains certificates requested using the Combine Certificates feature.
Request a refund
Certificates for which no request has been initiated
If the certificate status is Pending Application (no certificate request has been initiated), you can request a full refund.
Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.
In the navigation bar, click .
Find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Certificates for which a request has been initiated
If a certificate request has been initiated (the status is Verifying or Validation Failed), you must cancel the request before you request a refund.
Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.
In the navigation bar, click . Find the target certificate and click Cancel Application in the Actions column.
In the navigation bar, click .
Find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Issued certificates
For an issued certificate, you must first revoke the certificate, then request a refund.
Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.
In the navigation bar, click . Find the target certificate and click Revoke in the Actions column.
In the navigation bar, click .
Find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
HTTPS Acceleration Gateway refunds

You must meet the General refund rules.
Request a refund
Unused
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Used
If you added a domain name within 7 calendar days after the order was paid, you can request a refund based on your usage.
No GRCQ consumed
If no Gateway Resource Compute Quota (GRCQ), including website requests and outbound traffic, has been consumed, reset the instance and then request a full refund.
On the HTTPS Acceleration Gateway page, click the Domain Name Management tab. Find the target instance and click Reset in the Actions column.
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
GRCQ consumed
You must contact your account manager to request a refund for the remaining balance. For assistance, contact your account manager.
Refund amount
Refund Amount = Instance Fee – Consumed GRCQ Fee.
Refund example
For example, assume that you purchase a one-month HTTPS Acceleration Gateway instance that includes 300 GRCQs for a total cost of USD 1.6.
If you consume 60 GRCQs within 7 days, the refund amount is 1.6 - (1.6 × 60) / 300 = USD 1.28.
PCA service refunds

You must meet the General refund rules.
Request a refund
Unused
On the Private Certificate Management page, select the region where the PCA service resides.
On the Refund Management tab, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Tip dialog box, click OK.
After the refund is successful, the Status of the root CA or intermediate CA changes to Refunded.
Used
If a root CA or intermediate CA has been enabled, you can reset it within 7 calendar days of purchase, and then request a refund.
On the Private Certificate Management page, select the region where the PCA service resides.
On the Private CAs tab, find the CA that you want to reset. In the Actions column, click the
icon and then click Reset in the pop-up menu.In the pop-up dialog box, confirm the reset information, select Confirm that the reset operation deletes all data., and then click OK.
On the Refund Management tab, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click OK.
After the refund is successful, the Status of the root CA or intermediate CA changes to Refunded.
Message notification refunds
Refund conditions
You must meet the General refund rules.
The service must not have been used. This means that no message notifications have been configured.
Request a refund
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Public domain name monitoring refunds
Refund conditions
You must meet the General refund rules.
The service must not have been used. This means that no domain name monitoring has been configured.
Request a refund
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Certificate application repository refunds
Refund conditions
You must meet the General refund rules.
The service must not have been used. This means that no API calls for the certificate application repository have been consumed.
Request a refund
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
Refunds for "Deploy to Cloud Products"
You can request a refund for deployment quotas purchased on the Deployment to Cloud Services, Hosted Deployment for Cloud Services, Deployment to Cloud Servers, or Multi-cloud Deployment pages if the following conditions are met.
Refund conditions
You must meet the General refund rules.
The deployment quotas must not have been used. This means that no deployment tasks have been created using the Deployment to Cloud Services, Hosted Deployment for Cloud Services, Deployment to Cloud Servers, or Multi-cloud Deployment features.
Request a refund
On the Refund Management page, find the target order and click Refund in the Actions column.
In the Refund Application dialog box, click Refund. After the refund is successful, the order status changes to Refund successfully.
