Short Message Service:Create an SMS signature

Last Updated:Jun 08, 2026

To send SMS messages to the Chinese mainland, you must create an SMS signature and a message template and get both approved.

Important

Due to policy restrictions, Go China is not available for new users. Existing users must complete identity verification for their SMS signatures. Unverified signatures may be forcibly deactivated, causing service disruptions. Verification requirements and procedures have been sent to your Alibaba Cloud Message Center and associated email.

Prerequisites

An Alibaba Cloud enterprise account that has completed verification. Register on the registration page and verify in the Account Center.

Usage notes

  • Signature reviews cannot be canceled.

  • Messages can only be sent after both the signature and message content are approved.

  • Signatures can be deleted but not modified after creation.

  • Deleted signatures cannot be used to send messages. Proceed with caution.
