    SMS messages to the Chinese mainland must include an approved signature. Learn the naming rules, format restrictions, and registration requirements to pass the signature review.

    Signature name

    • A signature identifies your company, product, or business. Use the real name of your application, website, or company. Vague phrases such as Customer service or Dear customer are not allowed.

    • The signature must not violate laws or regulations, or infringe on the rights of others.

    Format and length

    • Must be 2–12 characters long and contain only letters and digits. Special characters and spaces are not allowed.

    • Do not add brackets or other symbols. Signatures are automatically enclosed in brackets [], for example, [Alibaba Cloud] or [ECS].

    Note

    Only simplified Chinese and English are supported. English-only signatures may be intercepted. Use a combination of Chinese and English characters.

    When you register a signature, specify its source. The required supporting materials vary by source type.
