After you enable auto-renewal, you can still cancel the service or change the renewal period. You can manually renew up to 30 servers at a time.
Expiration policy
A Simple Application Server is automatically stopped and disabled 15 days after it expires. After the server is stopped, its data is retained for another 15 days. You can restart the server by renewing it. If you do not renew the server within this 15-day retention period, the server and its associated snapshots and custom images are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Manual renewal
Log on to the Simple Application Server console.
On the card for the server that you want to renew, click Renew.
On the Renew page, confirm the server configuration, set the Subscription Duration, read and agree to the terms of service, and then click Buy Now.
You can select the auto-renewal check box under Subscription Duration. If you select this option, the renewal payment is automatically deducted 9 days before the resource expires.
On the Payment page, confirm the order and complete the payment.
Auto-renewal
You can enable auto-renewal to prevent service interruptions or data loss.
Enabling auto-renewal does not renew the instance immediately. It only sets the renewal period, which takes effect the next day. After the setting takes effect, the system attempts to deduct the payment on the day before expiration, on the expiration day, 6 days after expiration, and 14 days after expiration.
If the payment is still unsuccessful 14 days after expiration, the system makes no further deduction attempts. You must manually renew the instance within 30 days of the expiration date.

More operations
After you enable auto-renewal for a server, you can also disable it, change the auto-renewal duration, or set the server to not renew.

Log on to the Renewals page and select Simple Application Server from the Product Name list. On the Auto Renewal tab, you can manage the servers for which auto-renewal is enabled.
Enable Manual Renewal: Disables auto-renewal for the server.
Modify Auto-renewal Settings: Changes the auto-renewal period.
Renew: Immediately renews an instance for which auto-renewal is enabled.
After you renew the server, the system calculates the next auto-renewal time based on the new expiration date.
Nonrenewal: Sets an instance to expire at the end of its current subscription period instead of being auto-renewed.
Batch renew multiple servers
To manage the expiration dates of multiple servers, batch renewal is more efficient.

FAQ
If I manually renew a server for which auto-renewal is enabled, will there be a conflict or will I be charged twice?
No. Manual renewal takes precedence. The system calculates the time for the next auto-renewal based on the new expiration date.
If I manually renew an instance after it expires, how is the new expiration date calculated?
A Simple Application Server is automatically stopped and disabled 15 days after it expires. If you renew it during this 15-day period, the new expiration date is calculated as follows: Original Expiration Date + Subscription Duration. For example, if an instance expires on July 26 and you renew it for one month on July 31, the new expiration date is August 26.
Are renewal orders refundable?
Yes, you can log on to the Unsubscribe page to check whether the renewal order has taken effect:
If the order is on the Unsubscribe Inactive Renewals tab, it indicates that the order has not taken effect. You can apply for a full refund.
If the order is on the Unsubscribe Resources tab, it indicates that the order has taken effect. The refund is processed based on the partial refund rules.
For more information about the refund rules, see Refund policy.
Why did my auto-renewal fail?
After you enable auto-renewal, the system only sets the renewal period and does not immediately renew the instance. The system attempts to deduct the payment 3 days before expiration, 1 day before expiration, on the expiration day, 6 days after expiration, and 14 days after expiration. If a deduction fails, the system retries at the next time point. The failure may be because your account has an insufficient balance until 14 days after the expiration. Top up your account and manually renew the instance.
Can I downgrade the instance configuration during renewal?
Simple Application Server instances only support upgrades. Downgrades are not supported.
