Simple Application Server (SAS) supports unsubscriptions for various scenarios. Alibaba Cloud issues refunds based on its refund rules.
Notes
Instance and data are not recoverable: After you unsubscribe from a SAS instance, the instance and all its data are immediately released and cannot be recovered. Before you unsubscribe, make sure to back up or migrate your data.
Refund amount: Refunds are issued only for the actual amount paid. The value of coupons or other discounts is not refunded.
Violations: You are not eligible for a refund if you violate relevant laws, regulations, or the product's Terms of Service.
Promotional rules: If you purchased the product during a promotion, the promotional rules take precedence over the general unsubscription rules in case of a conflict.

Refund operation flow
Before you begin, ensure that you have performed a data backup or migration.
You can follow these steps to unsubscribe from a server in the console.
You can also unsubscribe from a SAS instance by calling an API operation. For more information, see RefundInstance.
Unsubscribe from a single instance
Log on to the SAS console.
On the server list page, find the instance that you want to unsubscribe from and choose More > Unsubscribe.
On the Resource Unsubscription page, click Unsubscribe Resource. On the confirmation page, verify the resource information and the refund amount.
Read and select the service agreement, and then click Unsubscribe Now.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, select a Reason For Unsubscription and click OK.
Unsubscribe from multiple instances
You can use this method to unsubscribe from multiple instances at the same time.
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Refund Management page.
On the Unsubscribe Resource tab, select Simple Application Server from the Commodity Name drop-down list, and then click Search.
Select the instances that you want to unsubscribe from.
Click Batch Unsubscribe Resources above the list. On the confirmation page, verify the resource information and the total refund amount.
Read and select the service agreement, and then click Unsubscribe Now.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, select a Reason For Unsubscription and click OK.

FAQ
After I unsubscribe, where does the refund go and how long does it take to arrive?
The refund process and bank transfers take time. The funds are expected to arrive within 30 business days. The refund is prioritized to be returned to the original payment method.
If the refund to the original payment method fails for reasons such as a canceled bank card or channel restrictions, the funds are credited to your Alibaba Cloud account balance.
