Next steps
Now that you can create instances, connect to them, and design tables in ApsaraDB for SelectDB, explore the following SelectDB features to get more from your data.
Migrate data
Data analytics is a primary scenario for SelectDB, such as online high-concurrency reporting and analytics, user persona and behavior analytics, and log storage and analytics. You often need to import historical business data into SelectDB to perform these analytics.
SelectDB provides various import APIs and tools for data migration. The following table lists best practice tutorials for common data sources. If your data source is not listed, see Data import interfaces and Data import tools to find a suitable migration method.

Query acceleration
SelectDB provides SQL analysis and query optimization solutions to accelerate data analytics. For more information, see Query acceleration.
Query external data sources
SelectDB supports federated queries to analyze data in external sources such as data lakes, databases, and remote files. For more information, see Data lake analytics and Database analytics.
Upgrade the kernel version
SelectDB supports kernel version upgrades. These upgrades include performance improvements, new features, and bug fixes. You can upgrade the kernel in theSelectDB console. For more information, see Upgrade the kernel version.
Scale clusters
If your SelectDB cluster configuration no longer meets your needs, you can adjust the configuration in the console. For more information, see Scale clusters.
Resource management
SelectDB provides three resource management solutions: multiple instances, multiple compute clusters, and Workload Group. For more information, see Query resource isolation.
Request and release public IP addresses
SelectDB instances support two address types: VPC addresses and public IP addresses. If your client and instance are not in the same VPC, you must request a public IP address and add the client IP address to a whitelist. For more information, see Request and release public IP addresses.
Permission management
If you create a new database account or cluster in SelectDB, see Basic permission management and Cluster permission management.
