Security Center:Security Center Pay-As-You-Go Free Trial (Savings Plan)

Eligibility

You must meet all of the following conditions to participate in the free trial (savings plan) activity:

• Your account is an Alibaba Cloud international site account.

• You have not previously participated in the international site free trial savings plan activity.

• No Security Center pay-as-you-go (post-paid) features are enabled.

• You have not subscribed to Security Center subscription-based editions (Anti-virus or above).

Trial specifications

• Free quota: USD 100 savings plan free quota.

• Trial period: 15 days from the date of claim.

• Scope: Offsets charges for all Security Center pay-as-you-go features, including Host and Container Security, Vulnerability Fixing, Agentic SOC, Log Management, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Agentless Detection, Serverless Security, Malicious File Detection, Application Protection (RASP), Anti-ransomware, and File Tamper-Proofing.

Claim the trial

1. Go to the Savings Plan Free Trial (International) purchase page. Confirm that Upfront Price is USD 0, click Buy Now to complete payment.

   Warning

   If Upfront Price is not USD 0, your account does not meet the eligibility criteria.

2. After claiming, the system automatically enables all pay-as-you-go features. No additional action is required. View enabled features on the Overview page > Enable Pay-as-You-Go Service section.

View quota consumption

1. Go to the Security Center console - Overview.

2. In the Enable Pay-as-You-Go Service section, click View Savings Plan to go to the Cost Management - Savings Plan page.

3. On the Savings Plan page, view quota consumption details on the Overview and View Details tabs.

   Note

   The Savings Plan Name is "Security Center Savings Plan Free Trial International Edition".

After expiration

• Unused quota is automatically cleared when the trial expires.

• After expiration, pay-as-you-go features are not automatically disabled. Relevant features will automatically convert to Enable Pay-as-You-Go Service and continue to incur charges.

  Important

  To stop billing, disable service switches on the Overview page > Enable Pay-as-You-Go Service section, or click Deactivate to disable all pay-as-you-go services.

Billing

• During the trial: The USD 100 savings plan quota offsets charges first. After exhaustion, if pay-as-you-go features remain enabled, charges are deducted from your account balance.

• After the trial: If pay-as-you-go features remain enabled, charges are deducted from your account balance.

  Important

  An insufficient balance disables the corresponding pay-as-you-go features, resulting in the loss of detection and protection capabilities. For more information, see Pay-as-you-go (arrears, disable).

Notifications

Alibaba Cloud notifies message recipients via internal messages and email at these milestones:

• Activation notification: Sent immediately after claiming to confirm your benefits are active.

• Expiration reminder: Sent 7 days before expiration to remind you that resources are about to expire. We recommend that you take action in advance.

FAQ

• What is the difference between the international site free trial and the China site 7-day Enterprise Edition free trial?

  • International site: 0-cost activation of the savings plan free trial, with USD 100 in savings plan free quota offsetting all pay-as-you-go charges for 15 days.

  • China site: 7-day upgrade to Enterprise Edition.

• Can I claim the international site savings plan (free trial) more than once?

  No. Each international site account is eligible for only one claim.

• What happens if my usage exceeds USD 100 during the trial?

  After the USD 100 free quota is exhausted, additional charges are deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account balance. Monitor quota consumption and disable unneeded features promptly.

• Are pay-as-you-go features automatically disabled after the trial expires?

  No. After the trial expires, enabled pay-as-you-go features remain active, and subsequent charges are deducted from your account balance. To stop billing, manually disable the relevant services.

• After claiming the savings plan, can I still claim the 7-day Enterprise Edition free trial?

  Yes. You can claim it as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for the enable a 7-day free trial.

• Why is there no free claim pop-up window?

  This typically happens for one of the following two reasons:

  1. Your account does not meet the eligibility criteria.

  2. You closed the pop-up today: The free claim pop-up appears only once per day. If you closed it manually, it will not be shown again that day.
