By default, Resource Center displays resources only from the current account. To get a unified view of all resources across your organization, you can enable the cross-account resource search feature. This allows the management account or a delegated administrator account to search and view resources in all member accounts within your resource directory.
Before you begin
You must have a resource directory enabled for your organization.
You must be logged on to the console by using either the management account of your resource directory or a delegated administrator account for Resource Center.
Procedure
Log on to the Resource Management console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Center > Cross-account Resource Search.
Click Enable Cross-account Resource Search.
What happens next
After you enable this feature, Resource Center automatically performs the following actions:
A service-linked role named
AliyunServiceRoleForResourceMetaCenteris created in each member account. Resource Center uses this role to get the necessary permissions to read resource metadata from those accounts. For more information, see Service-linked role for Resource Center.Resource Center begins to discover and index resources from all member accounts.
The resource data will start to appear in the console. The initial indexing process can take several minutes or longer to complete, depending on the number of resources in your organization.
