Due to product development planning, Alibaba Cloud plans to merge ApsaraDB for Redis and Tair into a single service called Tair (Redis® OSS-compatible) starting September 2024. In the future, all services and support will be provided under the Tair brand.
During the brand integration, the original Redis service will continue to operate as expected. Redis-related products and instances that you purchased are unaffected. You will still have access to the Redis console, product page, and documentation.
The brand integration is expected to be complete on September 30, 2024. At that time, you can access the Tair console, product page, and documentation, and use Tair and Redis products. Thank you for your attention to and support for Alibaba Cloud Redis and Tair products. We will continue to provide you with excellent products and services under the new brand.

Will Redis Open-Source Edition be affected by the change?
Redis Open-Source Edition will not be affected by the change. The change is solely a rebranding and merging of products. Redis Open-Source Edition will become a subcategory under the Tair brand and will continue to provide services. The purchase, renewal, scaling, and usage of Redis Open-Source Edition instances are not affected by the brand integration.
Is it mandatory to convert Redis Open-Source Edition instances into Tair instances?
No. Redis Open-Source Edition will continue to provide services as a subcategory under the Tair brand. You can still purchase Redis Open-Source Edition instances for your business.
Will Redis Open-Source Edition continue to be maintained and receive feature updates after the brand integration is complete?
Yes. We will continue to provide services for Redis Open-Source Edition and keep updating its features.
Will Redis Open-Source Edition versions compatible with Redis 7.4 or later be available?
