If you no longer need an RDS Custom instance, you can unsubscribe from it or release it to prevent additional charges.
Prerequisites
The instance has been stopped and its status is paused.
Important notes
You can unsubscribe from or release both subscription and pay-as-you-go RDS Custom instances from the same entry point. After you initiate the operation:

For a subscription instance, Alibaba Cloud reclaims the resources and provides a refund based on the unsubscription rules.

For a pay-as-you-go instance, the instance is released. No refund is provided because you are billed for resources as you use them.
Procedure

Log on to the RDS console. In the left-side navigation pane, click RDS Custom > Custom Instances, and then select a region at the top.

Unsubscribe from or release instances.

To unsubscribe from or release a single instance: In the Actions column for the target instance, choose .
You can also click Cancellation of Instance Subscription on the Basic Information page of the instance.

To unsubscribe from or release multiple instances: Select the instances, and then click Unsubscribe at the bottom of the page.

In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
