If you temporarily do not need to use an RDS Custom instance, you can stop it.
Prerequisites
The instance is in the Running state.
Stopping an instance interrupts your business. Proceed with caution.
Procedure
Log on to the RDS console. In the navigation pane on the left, click RDS Custom > Instances. Then, select a region at the top of the page.
Stop the instance.
To stop a single instance: In the Actions column of the target instance, choose .
You can also go to the Basic Information page of the instance and click the Suspend button.
To stop one or more instances: Select the instances that you want to stop and click Suspend at the bottom of the page.
In the dialog box, click OK. Wait for the instance Status to change to Suspended.
