If you do not currently need to use an RDS Custom instance, you can suspend it.
Prerequisites
The instance must be in the Running state.
Suspending an instance interrupts your services. Proceed with caution.
Procedure

Log on to the RDS console. In the navigation pane on the left, click RDS Custom > Custom Instances. Then, select a region in the top navigation bar.

Suspend the instance.

To suspend a single instance: In the Action column of the target instance, choose .
Alternatively, go to the Basic Information page of the instance and click Suspend.

To suspend one or more instances: Select one or more instances and click Stop at the bottom of the page.

In the dialog box that appears, click OK. Wait until the instance Status changes to Suspended.
