    To improve the accuracy and globalization of feature naming, Alibaba Cloud plans to standardize the naming of the I/O acceleration, I/O burst, and write optimization features in ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL on April 27, 2025. This adjustment only involves feature renaming and does not change the feature logic. You do not need to modify your business or application settings.

    Introduction

    The I/O acceleration, I/O burst, and write optimization features will be renamed for ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL. The following table lists the original and new names of the features.

    Impacts

    • Workloads: Only the feature names are changed. The feature logic is not affected, and your workloads are not interrupted.

    • Service continuity: No downtime occurs during the renaming process. Service traffic is not affected.

    • Configuration compatibility: Existing RDS instances automatically use the new names. No parameter adjustments are required.
