Resource Access Management:Add a RAM user to a RAM user group

After a Resource Access Management (RAM) user is added to a RAM user group, the RAM user has the permissions of the group. This topic describes how to add a RAM user to a RAM user group. You can use one of the following methods to add a RAM user to a RAM user group:

Method 1: Add a RAM user to a user group on the Users page

  1. Log on to the RAM console as a RAM administrator.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Identities > Users.

  3. On the Users page, find the RAM user that you want to manage and click Add to Group in the Actions column.

  4. In the Add Group Members panel, select a RAM user group that you want to add the RAM user. The information about the RAM user is automatically filled in.

  5. Click OK.

  6. On the page that appears, click Done.

Method 2: Add a RAM user to a RAM user group on the Groups page

  1. Log on to the RAM console as a RAM administrator.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Identities > Groups.

  3. On the Groups page, find the RAM user group that you want to manage and click Add User in the Actions column.

  4. In the Add Group Members panel, select the RAM user that you want to add to the RAM user group. The information about the RAM user group is automatically filled in.

  5. Click OK.

  6. On the page that appears, click Done.
