This topic describes the process of creating custom templates from existing dashboards, data dashboards, workbooks, and data entry forms. Once created, these templates can be listed for internal organizational use to streamline data analysis and minimize the time and resources required for report creation. Additionally, high-quality templates can be offered in the template marketplace to benefit a broader range of Quick BI users.
Create a Template
Log on to the Quick BI console.
Navigate to the Quick BI home page and follow the instructions shown in the figure below to create a template.

In the Create Template dialog box, set the following parameters.

Description
Template Type
Supports creating Regular Dashboards, Data Dashboards, Workbooks, and Data Reporting types of Templates.
Workspace
In the drop-down list, select the workspace to which the data object used as the template belongs.
Data Object
Select the data object to be used as the template, such as a specific dashboard, data dashboard, or workbook.
Template Name
Enter the name of the template.
When the Data object is selected, the name of the current data object is automatically filled in as the template name. You can also customize the template name based on your actual business needs.
Template Category
Template categories include form entry, complex Chinese-style tables, Internet industry cases, and best practices for data dashboards.
You can select the appropriate category based on the application scenario of the template. After the template is listed in the template marketplace, you can quickly locate it by category.
Display view
You can select PC view, mobile view, and tablet view simultaneously.
Default view
You can customize the view type. By default, the PC view is selected.
Template Tags
You can use template tags to create custom IDs for templates to facilitate flexible management.
Each tag can contain up to six characters. You can add multiple tags to the same template.
Template Description
Add a one-sentence description of the template, including its application scenarios and target users, to help users select the appropriate template.
Template Producer
Enter the name of the template producer, such as XXX Company or XXX Department. The name must not exceed 50 characters.
This field is mainly used to display the producer information when the template is listed in the template marketplace (as shown in the figure below). If this field is left blank, the producer will be displayed as "Official".

Thumbnail
You can use official materials, upload images from your local device, or use image links as the cover image of the template.
Preview Effect
You can preview the template as an image or as the template itself.
If you select Preview Template, the report will be publicly viewable. Pay attention to data security and use DEMO data if necessary.
Set Image
This option is available only when Preview Effect is set to Image.
Upload an image from your local device or use an image link as the cover image of the template.
NoteThe image resolution must be greater than 60 pixels × 60 pixels and less than 180 pixels × 60 pixels.
The size of a single image must not exceed 1 MB.
Click Confirm.
The new template will now appear on the custom templates page.

List a Template
To make a custom template available for internal use, list it in your organization's internal template category within the template marketplace. This enables organization members to access and utilize the template directly from the marketplace.
Locate the desired template in the Custom templates list on the open platform and click the
icon in its operation column. 
In the Request listing pop-up window, click the Confirm button.

Following confirmation, the template will be listed in the Internal templates category of the template marketplace and will not require further approval.

Edit a Template
To adjust the styles or data of chart components within a template, proceed to edit the template.

Edit Template Properties
To alter the parameter settings of a newly created template, click the
icon in the operation column and modify the properties in the Edit template pop-up window.
