You can retrieve business data from external systems using API operations. Only the Professional Edition supports creating API data sources.
Network requirements for data sources
When you add a data source, Quick BI has the following network type requirements:
RDS instances in a VPC can connect to Quick BI over a public endpoint. MySQL and SQL Server instances can also connect over an internal same-region endpoint. Other RDS instance types in a VPC do not support connections to Quick BI over an internal same-region endpoint.
Instances in the classic network can connect to Quick BI over a public endpoint or an internal same-region endpoint. If you use a public endpoint, configure an IP address whitelist for the RDS instance. For more information, see Set a whitelist.
Quick BI is accessible over the public network.
Self-hosted MySQL and SQL Server databases on ECS instances in a VPC can connect to Quick BI over an internal same-region endpoint.
