PrivateLink:Manage PrivateLink quotas

Last Updated:Apr 17, 2026

This topic describes how to manage PrivateLink quotas in Quota Center and the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) console. These management operations include viewing quota usage, requesting quota increases, and creating quota templates.

Permissions

By default, only Alibaba Cloud accounts can manage quotas in Quota Center. To allow a RAM user to perform quota management operations, grant the RAM user the AliyunQuotasFullAccess permission.

View quotas

You can view PrivateLink quotas in one of the following ways:

View quotas in the VPC console

  1. Go to the Quota Management page in the VPC console.

  2. On the Quota Management page, click the PrivateLink tab in the Service section. You can view the following types of quotas:

    • To view general quotas, click the General Quota tab in the Quota Type section. You can filter quotas by keyword to view information such as the name, description, and usage of a specific general quota.

    • To view API rate quotas, click the API Rate Quota tab in the Quota Type section. You can filter quotas by keyword or region to view information such as the version and quota value of a specific API rate quota.

    • To view privilege quotas, click the Privilege Quota tab in the Quota Type section. You can filter quotas by quota ID to view information such as the name, description, and default value of a specific privilege quota.

Increase quotas

If a default PrivateLink quota does not meet your business requirements, you can request an increase in one of the following ways.

The available quotas and request results are the same in both Quota Center and the VPC console.

Increase quotas in the VPC console

  1. Go to the Quota Management page in the VPC console.

  2. On the Quota Management page, click the PrivateLink tab in the Service section.

    • Increase a general quota

      1. On the General Quota tab in the Quota Type section, find the quota that you want to increase and click Apply in the Actions column.

      2. In the Apply for Quotas dialog box, set Applied Quotas and Reason, and then click OK.

Quota increase requests are reviewed by the technical support team of each cloud service. To increase the likelihood of approval, provide a reasonable value and a detailed justification for your request.

You will be notified of the result by SMS and email. Alibaba Cloud evaluates each request and then approves or denies it.

      3. After you submit the request, you can click Application Records in the Actions column or select Application Records to view the status of the request.

If the request status is Approved, the quota is increased.

    • Apply for a privilege quota

      1. In the Quota Type section, click the Privilege Quota tab.

      2. Find the privilege quota that you want to apply for and click Apply in the Actions column.

      3. In the Apply for Privileges dialog box, set Applied Quotas, Time, Reason, and Notify Result. Then, click OK.

      4. After you submit the application, you can click Application Records in the Actions column or select Application Records to view the application status. If the application status is Approved, the privilege quota is granted.

Create a quota template

If a quota template is Enabled and contains quota items, the system automatically applies it to new members of your resource directory. The quotas for existing members are not affected. Quota templates let you request increases for multiple items at once, which improves quota management efficiency and automation for your organization.

Before you create a quota template, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:
